28th Annual Academy for Sports Dentistry Meeting in Washington, DC (Vail Dentist)
I am gearing up to attend the 28th Academy for Sports Dentistry meeting next week in Washington, DC. The meeting is comprised of team-dentists from all areas and levels of sport. I will be there representing the US Ski and Snowboard Teams as well as Ski and Snowboard Club Vail. I am really looking forward to sharing conversation with some of my colleagues from who work with athletes from other sports, especially college and NFL football so that we can further explore some of the recent developments concerning concussion research.
One of the highlights of the meeting is an area I am currently conducting research on with both the US Ski Team and Ski Club Vail. This will be presentations by Bite Tech/Under Armour and Pure Power Mouthguard followed by a Q&A with the two presenters for each product. This are of Performance Mouthguards is a very hot topic in Sports Dentistry and no study has actually been conducted independently comparing the performance of these two products on the same athlete. This is why I am so excited to have been able to bring these two companies together and have them agree to allow us to perform those tests on our athletes. It will be a first of its kind study conducted later this summer and the results promise to be very exciting.

Dr. Haridng is also a Clinical Instructor at The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. The Harding Dental Center is a Vail Dentist Office and (www.hardingdentalcenter.com) is located in Avon, CO.
